About Andrew
Andrew Gaillard (born September 9, 2000) is a composer, musician, and educator currently living in the Metro-Atlanta area. He studied at Georgia State University, earning his Bachelor of Music Composition degree in the Spring of 2023. Andrew studied with Dr. Nickitas Demos, founder and artistic director of the neoPhonia New Music Ensemble, as part of his undergraduate studies. While at Georgia State University, his compositions were performed in various Society of Composers, Inc. (SCI) concerts and several neoPhonia New Music Ensemble performances throughout his two years in the composition studio.
Andrew has also been assisting the Access and Accommodations Center (AACE) at Georgia State University, both during and after attending GSU. While in school, Andrew was able to widen the range of music and possibilities of several visually-impaired School of Music students. He was able to utilize several music notation software programs to transcribe orchestral, chamber, vocal, and solo repertoire to be converted into braille. By the time Andrew had been working with the AACE for two years of his undergraduate degree, he was given the opportunity to help lead a new team of dedicated students, focused on making music more accessible for those usually overlooked.
